The New Occam's Reader

Occam's Reader version 2.0 is here! Registered libraries many now sign in to Occam's Reader 2.0.

Occam's What?

Occam's Reader is a system that allows interlibrary loan of electronic books. The first version of Occam's Reader was a collaboration between Texas Tech University, the University of Hawaii at Manoa and the Greater Western Library Alliance. This 1.1 pilot version is released to the public on this site.

The current 2.0 version of Occam's Reader is developed and hosted by Texas Tech University Libraries.

Users of the Occam's Reader system receive an email generated by the lending institution. This email includes a customized, token-authenticated link to view their item in a web browser. Have a look at a demonstration of the web-based reader in action.
